After over fifteen years running PR programs for major national brands in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, at events like New York Fashion Week, South Beach Wine & Food Festival, and more red carpet events and restaurant openings than I can count, something dawned on me: 

Small business owners have the most passion and potential, but oftentimes, the least press and prospects.

So I’m creating new PR possibilities through my curated connections approach to PR that’s the right size for small businesses and focuses on what matters most to solopreneurs and start-ups.

my experience

For over a decade, I led strategic communications programming at some of the top independent public relations agencies in the country, including OLSON Engage in Chicago and Los Angeles, and DKC in New York. In 2016, I launched Amy Kaske Berger PR, working with consumer brands eager to raise awareness in the marketplace.

Prior to starting my own PR and Communications consultancy, I was a Director at OLSON Engage where I led strategic programming for top-performing consumer brands including Wrigley (Orbit gum, Extra gum, Juicy Fruit gum), SkinnyPop, Quaker, Old Navy, Kayak.com, Naked Juice, TiVo, and others. Here, I designed PR campaigns for media strategy and outreach, influencer and celebrity partnerships, events, account and project management, social media marketing, and reputation management. As a manager, I implemented and oversaw cross-discipline, interagency teams, internal agency team development and mentoring and hiring initiatives.

Before joining OLSON Engage, I developed programming at DKC in New York City, managing lifestyle and hospitality brands including Peroni, Dylan’s Candy Bar, FTD.com, Exhale Spa, Gen Art, and Sagamore Hotel. I oversaw client participation and celebrity attendance at high-profile events such as New York Fashion Week, South Beach Wine & Food Festival, and The New York Stock Exchange, in addition to red carpets and product launch events.

Prior to DKC, I managed Kate Spade’s flagship retail store in New York’s Soho neighborhood, developing a roster of personal clients and managing in-store PR and event logistics.
